Physiological Indices and Subjective Thermal Perception of Heat Stress-Exposed Workers in an Industrial Plant

This study aimed to investigate the thermal responses of acclimated workers exposed heat stress in a real work environment. The physiological indices and subjective perception 14 were measured an industrial plant. effects wet bulb globe temperature (WBGT) on studied. differences between unacclimated college students compared analyzed. relationship mean skin sensation was revealed. results show that temperature, oral heart rate increase with WBGT, while blood pressure decreases WBGT. Compared students, felt more comfortable tolerant under same stress. neutral is 32.3 °C, which approximately 1.0 °C lower than students. this can help ensure occupational safety health stress-exposed workers.
